Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

۞ HAVE WE NOT opened up thy heart, 1 and lift from thee thy burden, 2 that had well-nigh broken your back? 3 And exalted your fame? 4 So truly with hardship comes ease, 5 Verily, with every difficulty there is relief. 6 So when thou art empty, labour, 7 And turn to your Lord with all your love. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
