Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I swear by the wind that scatters far and wide, 1 and the burden-bearers 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 and the partitioners, 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 perverted in his views thereon is he who would deceive himself! 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23
