Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 and perverted therefrom are some. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 They used to sleep but little by night [invoking their Lord (Allah) and praying, with fear and hope]. 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
