And indeed, warnings came to the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) [through Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)]. 41 They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. 42 Are the unbelievers of yours better than these, or is there an exemption for you in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 Lo! the guilty are in error and madness. 47 on the Day when they are dragged into the fire on their faces, it will be said to them, "Now feel the touch of Hell!" 48 Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure. 49 And Our command is only a fleeting one – like the batting of an eyelid. 50 And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember? 51 All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds): 52 All things small or great have been written down. 53 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and rivers, 54 In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability. 55
