The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
