The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who dive and drag, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 And the second followeth it, 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
