Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

By the midmorning, 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
