The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven breaks apart. 1 And obeys its Lord and it must. 2 when the earth flattens out, 3 and casts out what is within it and is emptied, 4 and hearkens to the command of its Lord, doing what it should. 5 O man, having striven hard towards your Lord, you shall meet Him: 6 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, 7 He shall be reckoned with by an easy reckoning, 8 and they will return to their people, delighted 9 And whoever is given his record of deeds behind his back – 10 he shall call for destruction 11 And he will enter a Blazing Fire. 12 He once lived among his family joyfully; 13 Never thinking he will return. 14 This is a fact. Their Lord is Well-Aware of (all that they do). 15 Oh, I swear by the afterglow of sunset, 16 And by the night and whatever it gathers in its darkness; 17 And by oath of the moon when it is full. 18 that you shall surely ride from stage to stage. 19 What aileth them, then, that they believe not 20 And when the Quran is recited to them, they fall not prostrate, ۩ 21 But on the contrary the Unbelievers reject (it). 22 But God knows what they harbour in their breasts. 23 Wherefore announce thou unto them a torment afflictive. 24 except for those who believe and do good deeds. Theirs shall be an unending reward. 25
