Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

AND, INDEED, We have set up in the heavens great constellations, and endowed them with beauty for all to behold; 16 And We have preserved it from every accursed devil, 17 Except one who comes to eavesdrop – therefore a bright flame goes after him. 18 We have spread out the earth, fixed mountains thereupon and caused everything to grow to its proper weight 19 and provided thereon means of livelihood for you [O men] as well as for all [living beings] whose sustenance does not depend on you. 20 Of all things there are We have the stores, and send them down in determined measure. 21 We let loose fertilizing winds, and bring water from the sky for you to drink; and you could not have stored it up for yourselves. 22 And indeed it is We Who give life and it is We Who cause death, and We are the Inheritors. 23 We know those of you who press forward, and We know the laggards, 24 Assuredly it is thy Lord Who will gather them together: for He is perfect in Wisdom and Knowledge. 25
