The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, 2 The Merciful, the Compassionate 3 the Master of the Day of Doom. 4 You (Alone) we worship, and you (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything). 5 Guide us to the straight path - 6 The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
