O Ye who believe! obey Allah and His apostle and turn not away therefrom while ye hearken. 20 And do not be like those who said, “We have heard”, whereas they do not hear. 21 ۞ Surely the worst of beasts in God's sight are those that are deaf and dumb and do not understand. 22 And had Allah known in them any good He would surely have made them hearken; and even if He made them hear, they would surely turn away as backsliders. 23 O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and the messenger when He calleth you to that which quickeneth you, and know that Allah cometh in between the man and his own heart, and that He it is unto Whom ye will be gathered. 24 And fear the turmoil which will certainly not fall only upon a few selected unjust people among you; and know that Allah’s punishment is severe. 25 And recall when you were few in numbers and deemed weak in the land, fearful lest people do away with you. Then He provided you refuge, strengthened you with His help, and provided you sustenance with good things that you may be grateful. 26 [Hence,] O you who have attained to faith, do not be false to God and the Apostle, and do not knowingly be false to the trust that has been reposed in you; 27 And know that your properties and your children are but a trial and that Allah has with Him a great reward. 28
