And if they deny thee, say: Unto me my work, and unto you your work. Ye are innocent of what I do, and I am innocent of what ye do. 41 Some of them appear to be listening to you; but can you make the deaf hear, incapable as they are of understanding? 42 And there are among them such as [pretend to] look towards thee: but canst thou show the right way to the blind even though they cannot see? 43 Verily, God does not do the least wrong unto men, but it is men who wrong themselves. 44 And on the Day when He shall gather them together, it will seem to them as if they had not tarried in the world longer than an hour of a day. They will recognize one another; lost indeed will be those who considered it a lie that they were destined to meet God, and did not follow the right path. 45 Whether We let you see some of that with which We promised them, or We call you to Us, to Us they shall return. Allah is witness of the things they do. 46 And for every nation there is a messenger. And when their messenger cometh (on the Day of Judgment) it will be judged between them fairly, and they will not be wronged. 47 They ask, "If you (believers) speak the truth, when will your promise (about the Day of Judgment) be fulfilled?" 48 Say: "I have no power over any harm or profit to myself except as Allah willeth. To every people is a term appointed: when their term is reached, not an hour can they cause delay, nor (an hour) can they advance (it in anticipation)." 49 Say, "Have you considered: if His punishment should come to you by night or by day - for which [aspect] of it would the criminals be impatient?" 50 Will you believe in it only after it has overtaken you, although it was your wish to hurry it on?" 51 Then the evil-doers will be told, "Taste the everlasting punishment. Have you not been rewarded according to your deeds?" 52 They ask you if what you say is true? Tell them: 'Yes, by my Lord, this is altogether true, and you have no power to prevent the chastisement from befalling.' 53
