In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

A. L. R. These are the symbols (or Verses) of the perspicuous Book. 1 Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an that you might understand. 2 In revealing this Quran to you, We tell you the best of the stories of which you were unaware. 3 Recall what time Yusuf said unto his father: My father! Verily I have seen eleven stars and the sun and the moon; I have seen them prostrating themselves unto me. 4 He said: O my son! recount not thine vision unto thy brethren, lest they plot a plot against thee; verily the Satan is unto man an enemy manifest. 5 so your Lord will choose you and teach you the interpretation of visions, and perfect His Favor upon you and upon the House of Jacob, as He perfected it on your fathers Abraham and Isaac before you. Your Lord is Knowing, Wise. 6
