Remember Abraham said: "O my Lord! make this city one of peace and security: and preserve me and my sons from worshipping idols. 35 "O my Lord! They have indeed led astray many among mankind. But whoso follows me, he verily is of me. And whoso disobeys me, - still You are indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 36 "Our Lord! I have made some of my offspring settle in a barren valley near Your Sacred House! Our Lord! I did so that they may establish Prayer. So make the hearts of people affectionately inclined to them, and provide them with fruits for their sustenance that they may give thanks. 37 O Lord, You have knowledge of what we hide and what we reveal, for nothing on the earth or in the skies is hidden from God. 38 Praise be to Allah Who hath given me, in my old age, Ishmael and Isaac! Lo! my Lord is indeed the Hearer of Prayer. 39 “O my Lord! Maintain me as one who establishes prayer, and some of my descendants; O our Lord! and accept my prayer.” 40 Lord, on the Day of Judgment, forgive me and my parents and all the believers." 41
