Verily We created man of potter's clay of black mud altered, 26 And the jinn We created before from scorching fire. 27 Your Lord said to the angels, "I am about to bring into being a man wrought from mud. 28 So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him. 29 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely, 30 Except Iblees, he refused to be with those who prostrated. 31 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What happened to you that you stayed apart from those who prostrated?” 32 He said: I am not one to prostrate myself unto a mortal whom Thou hast created out of potter's clay of black mud altered! 33 He said: Then go thou forth from hence, for lo! thou art outcast. 34 And verily on thee shall be the curse till the Day of Requital. 35 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." 36 Said Allah, “You are of those given respite.” 37 “Till the Day of a well-known time.” 38 Said he, 'My Lord, for Thy perverting me I shall deck all fair to them in the earth, and I shall pervert them, all together, 39 except for Your chosen servants." 40 He said: This is a right way with Me: 41 Surely, as regards My servants, you have no authority, over them except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 Surely, Hell is the place to which they are destined, 43 It has seven gates; for each gate is a portion assigned from them. 44

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
