As brethren, face to face, (they rest) on couches raised. 47 "No sense of fatigue shall touch them, nor shall they (ever) be asked to leave it." 48 ۞ (Muhammad), tell My servants that I am All-forgiving and All-merciful 49 and that My chastisement is the painful chastisement. 50 And inform them of the guests of Ibrahim: 51 [how,] when they presented themselves before him and bade him peace, he answered: "Behold, we are afraid of you!" 52 [The angels] said, "Fear not. Indeed, we give you good tidings of a learned boy." 53 [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Do you give me glad tidings (of a son) when old age has overtaken me? Of what then is your news?" 54 They said: "We give thee glad tidings in truth: be not then in despair!" 55 He said, “Who is it that despairs from the mercy of his Lord, except those who are astray?” 56 He added: "And what [else] may you have in view, O you [heavenly] messengers?" 57 They said, "We have been sent forth to a guilty people." 58 Except Lut's followers: We will most surely deliver them all, 59 all together, excepting his wife -- we have decreed, she shall surely be of those that tarry.' 60
