At length when the messengers arrived among the adherents of Lut, 61 he said, 'Surely you are a people unknown to me!' 62 They said: "Nay, we have come to you with that (torment) which they have been doubting. 63 And we have come to you with the truth, and we are most surely truthful. 64 Go, then, with thy household while it is yet night, with thyself following them in the rear; and let none of you look back, but proceed whither you are bidden." 65 We issued this command to him, for they were going to be destroyed in the morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 67 He said: Lo! they are my guests. Affront me not! 68 Have fear of God and do not humiliate me". 69 They replied: 'Have we not forbidden you (the people of) the worlds' 70 [Lout (Lot)] said: "These (the girls of the nation) are my daughters (to marry lawfully), if you must act (so)." 71 By thy life, in their intoxication they were wandering bewildered. 72 Therefore the scream overcame them at sunrise. 73 And We turned the city upside down, and rained on them stones of hardened lava. 74 Indeed in this are signs for people who perceive. 75 The place (where this occurred) lies along a known route. 76 Most surely there is a sign in this for the believers. 77 And the Companions of the Wood were also wrong-doers; 78 So We took retribution from them, and indeed, both [cities] are on a clear highway. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
