It is He who sends down water from the sky of which you drink, and which nourishes the plants you feed your cattle, 10 With it He produces for you corn, olives, date-palms, grapes and every kind of fruit: verily in this is a sign for those who give thought. 11 He has subjected to you the night, the day, the sun and the moon. The stars are subjected by His Command. Surely, in that there is a sign for a nation who understands. 12 And what He has created in the earth of varied hues most surely there is a sign in this for a people who are mindful. 13 And He it is who hath subjected the sea that ye may eat thereout flesh fresh and bring forth therefrom ornaments that ye wear. And thou beholdest ships ploughing therein, and it is in order that ye may seek of His grace, and that haply ye may give thanks. 14 And He has cast great mountains in the earth lest it might be convulsed with you, and rivers and roads that you may go aright, 15 And also landmarks; and by the stars they are guided. 16 Is He who creates as he who does not create? Will you not remember? 17 For, should you try to count God's blessings, you could never compute them! Behold, God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace; 18 God knows all that you conceal and all that you reveal. 19 And those upon whom they call beside Allah have not created aught, and are themselves created. 20 They are dead, not living; nor do they know when they will be raised to life. 21
