۞ Allah has said: "Take not (for worship) two gods: for He is just One Allah: then fear Me (and Me alone)." 51 Whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him, and His the judgement for ever. So will you fear any other than God? 52 And whatever you have of favor - it is from Allah. Then when adversity touches you, to Him you cry for help. 53 yet as soon as He has removed the harm from you, lo! some of you [begin to] ascribe to other powers a share 'in their Sustainer's divinity 54 In order to deny the favours We have given them; so enjoy a little; for you will soon come to know. 55 They set aside a share of that which We have provided them for what they did not know. By Allah, you shall be questioned about your forgeries! 56 And they assign daughters to Allah – Purity is to Him! – and assign for themselves what they wish. 57 And when a daughter is announced to one of them his face becomes black and he is full of wrath. 58 With shame does he hide himself from his people, because of the bad news he has had! Shall he retain it on (sufferance and) contempt, or bury it in the dust? Ah! what an evil (choice) they decide on? 59 [Thus it is that] the attribute of evil applies to all who do not believe in the life to come - whereas unto God applies the attribute of all that is most sublime: for He alone is almighty, truly wise! 60
