On the day when We shall summon all men with their record, whoso is given his book in his right hand - such will read their book and they will not be wronged a shred. 71 And whoever is blind in this [life] will be blind in the Hereafter and more astray in way. 72 Indeed they were near to seducing thee from that We revealed to thee, that thou mightest forge against Us another, and then they would surely have taken thee as a friend; 73 Indeed, had We not strengthened you, you might have inclined to them a little, 74 In that case, We should have inflicted a double punishment in this life, and a double punishment after death. Then you would have found no one to help you against Us. 75 They very nearly provoked you to drive you out of the land, but they would have only lingered for a little while after you. 76 This has been Our way with the apostles whom We sent before you. You will not find any variation in Our line of action. 77
