The Day will surely come when We shall summon every people with their leader. Then those who are given their records in their right hands will read their records [eagerly] and shall not in the least be wronged: 71 Whoso is blind here will be blind in the Hereafter, and yet further from the road. 72 And verily they had well-nigh tempted thee away from that which We have revealed unto thee, that thou shouldst fabricate regarding something else; and then surely they would have taken thee as a friend! 73 And had We not given thee strength, thou wouldst nearly have inclined to them a little. 74 then We would have let you taste the double of life and death; and you would have found none to help you against Us. 75 Indeed they came near to unsettling you, so that they might expel you from the land, but in that case they themselves would not have stayed on for very long after you. 76 (This was Our) way with the messengers We sent before thee: thou wilt find no change in Our ways. 77
