AND LO! [In the course of his wanderings,] Moses said to his servant: "I shall not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas, even if I [have to] spend untold years [in my quest]!" 60 Then, when they reached their meeting, they forgot their fish, and it took its way into the sea, burrowing. 61 So when they had passed further on (beyond that fixed place), Musa (Moses) said to his boy-servant: "Bring us our morning meal; truly, we have suffered much fatigue in this, our journey." 62 He said: lookest thou! when we betook ourselves to the rock, then I forgot the fish; and naught but the Satan made me forget to mention it, and it took its way into the sea - a marvel! 63 Said Moosa, “This is exactly what we wanted”; so they came back retracing their steps. 64 Then found they one of Our slaves, unto whom We had given mercy from Us, and had taught him knowledge from Our presence. 65 Moses said unto him: "May I follow thee on the understanding that thou wilt impart to me something of that consciousness of what is right which has been imparted to thee?" 66 He said: Lo! thou canst not bear with me. 67 "How can you remain patient with that which you do not fully understand?" 68 Moses replied: "You shall find me, if Allah wills, patient; and I shall not disobey you in anything." 69 He said: "Well, if you follow me, do not ask me concerning anything until I myself mention it to you." 70
