Commemorate Moses in the Book. He was a chosen one, both an apostle and a prophet. 51 And We cried unto him from the right side of the mount, and We drew him nigh for whispering. 52 and [how,] out of Our grace, We granted unto him his brother Aaron, to be a prophet [by his side]. 53 And mention thou in the Book lsma'il; verily he was true in promise, and was apostle, prophet. 54 He exhorted his people to prayer and almsgiving, and his Lord was pleased with him. 55 Also mention in the Book the case of Idris: He was a man of truth (and sincerity), (and) a prophet: 56 And We lifted him to a high position. (Living with soul & body in heaven, after his death.) 57 These are the ones whom God has favoured: the prophets from among the descendants of Adam and of those whom We carried in the Ark with Noah; the descendants of Abraham, of Israel, and of those whom We have guided and chosen. For when the revelations of the Merciful were recited to them, they fell down, prostrating themselves and weeping. ۩ 58 ۞ But they are succeeded by a generation who neglect their devotional obligations and follow only earthly pleasures; but they will reach the wrong road and meet destruction, 59 Except those who repent and come to believe and do the right. These will enter Paradise and will not be wronged the least 60 The gardens of perpetuity which the Beneficent Allah has promised to His servants while unseen; surely His promise shall come to pass. 61 No empty talk will they hear there - nothing but [tidings of] inner soundness and peace; and there will they have their sustenance by day and by night: 62 Such are the gardens which We will give to Our God-fearing servants as their inherited property. 63 (The angels will say): "(O Muhammad!) We descend not except by the command of your Lord. To Him belongs all that is before us and all that is behind us, and all that is in between. Your Lord is not forgetful in the least. 64 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that which is betwixt the twain; so Him worship thou, and endure patiently in His worship; knowest thou any as His compeer? 65
