Observest thou not those who wrangle concerning the revelations of Allah? whither are they turning away! 69 Those who belie the Book and that message wherewith We sent Our apostles, presently they shall come to know. 70 When carcans are about their necks and chains. They are dragged 71 boiling water, and cast into the Fire. 72 then it is said to them, 'Where are those you associated, apart from God?' 73 “As rivals to Allah?”; they will say, “We have lost them – in fact we never used to worship anything before!”; this is how Allah sends the disbelievers astray. 74 That is because ye had been exulting in the earth without right, and because ye had been strutting. 75 So enter the gates of Hell to abide in it for ever." How evil the abode of the arrogant! 76 So be patient, [O Muhammad]; indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And whether We show you some of what We have promised them or We take you in death, it is to Us they will be returned. 77 We have told you the stories of some of Our Messengers whom We had sent before you and We have not told you the stories of some others. A Messenger is not supposed to show a miracle without the permission of God. When God's decree of punishment comes to pass, He will judge truthfully and the supporters of the falsehood will perish when God's decree of punishemnt comes to pass. 78
