Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or they allege, “He is a poet – we await a calamity of the times to befall him.” 30 Say: 'Wait if you will; I shall be waiting with you' 31 Does their reasoning prompt them to this, or they are a people rebellious? 32 Or do they say: "He himself has composed this [message]"? Nay, but they are not willing to believe! 33 So let them bring a single discourse like it, if they are truthful. 34 Or were they created without there being anything, or are they the creators? 35 Created they the heavens and the earth! Aye! they will not be convinced. 36 Or do they own the treasures of thy Lord? Or have they been given charge (thereof)? 37 Do they have a ladder (by which they can climb up to the heavens) and listen (to the angels) and come back to the rest of the people with clear authority? 38 Or, [if you believe in God, how can you believe that] He has [chosen to have] daughters, whereas you yourselves would have [only] sons? 39 Or is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?- 40 Or [do they think] that the hidden reality [of all that exists] is almost within their grasp, so that [in time] they can write it down? 41 Or desire they to outwit? The unbelievers, they are the outwitted. 42 Or have they a god, other than God? Glory be to God, above that which they associate! 43 If they should see a part of the heavens falling down, they would say, "A mass of clouds," 44 So leave them till they encounter their Day in which they shall be thunderstruck. 45 The Day when their guile shall not relieve them a thing, and they shall not be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment besides this: But most of them understand not. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad SAW) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes, and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep. 48 And for part of the night also praise thou Him,- and at the retreat of the stars! 49
