Yet man says: "When I am dead, will I come to life again?" 66 Does he not remember that We created him when he did not exist? 67 And, by thy Lord, verily We shall assemble them and the devils, then We shall bring them, crouching, around hell. 68 We shall then pick out from every group the one who was most arrogant towards the Most Gracious. 69 then We shall know very well those most deserving to burn there. 70 There is not one of you but shall approach it. That is a fixed ordinance of thy Lord. 71 But We shall save those who guarded against evil, and We shall leave the wrong-doers therein, (humbled) to their knees. 72 When Our clear verses are recited to them the unbelievers say to the believers: 'Which of the two parties has a better position or company?' 73 And how many a generation (past nations) have We destroyed before them, who were better in wealth, goods and outward appearance? 74 Say, "The Gracious One grants respite for a time to those who are in error until, when they are confronted with what they are promised, either in punishment [in the world] or in [the approach of] the Hour, they will realize who is worse in respect of position and who is weaker in resources." 75 And God endows those who avail themselves of [His] guidance with an ever-deeper consciousness of the right way; and good deeds, the fruit whereof endures forever, are, in thy Sustainer's sight, of far greater merit [than any worldly goods,] and yield far better returns. 76 Have you seen him who rejected Our signs and said: "Surely I shall continue to be favoured with riches and children." 77 Has he gained knowledge of the unseen, or made a covenant with the Beneficent Allah? 78 Never; We shall now record what he says and give him a prolonged punishment. 79 And We will inherit him [in] what he mentions, and he will come to Us alone. 80 They have taken other deities besides God, so that they may be a source of strength for them. 81 By no means! They shall soon deny their worshipping them, and they shall be adversaries to them. 82
