T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Ta Ha 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and all that is in between, and all that is beneath the soil. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. 15 So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Moses! 19 So he threw it down, and all of a sudden, it turned into a fast-moving serpent. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 "[And now] go thou unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity. 24
