[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] 25 And make my affair easy to me, 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 so that they may understand me. 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 By him confirm my strength 31 And let him share my task, 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 Verily, You have always watched over us." 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 And I formed thee for Myself. 41 Go, thou and thy brother, with My tokens, and be not faint in remembrance of Me. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 They said: "O our Lord, we are really frightened lest he behave insolently with us or become violent." 45 Answered He: "Fear not! Verily, I shall be with you two, hearing and seeing [all]. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 He it is Who spread the earth for you; and made in it paths for you, and sent down water from the sky, and then through it We brought forth many species of diverse plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
