Do not these unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were an integrated mass, then We split them and made every living thing from water? Will they not believe even then? 30 We placed firm mountains on earth lest it would shake them away. We made wide roads for them so that they might have the right guidance. 31 And We have made the heaven a roof, safe and well guarded. Yet they turn away from its signs (i.e. sun, moon, winds, clouds, etc.). 32 It is He Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Each of them is floating in its orbit. 33 And We did not ordain abiding for any mortal before you. What! Then if you die, will they abide? 34 Every soul is going to taste of death, and We shall prove you with evil and good as a temptation; and unto Us ye shall be returned. 35 And when the disbelievers see you, they do not appoint you except as an object of mockery; “Is he the one who speaks ill of your Gods?”; whereas they deny the remembrance of the Most Gracious Himself! 36 Man is hasty by nature. I shall certainly show you My Signs. Do not ask Me to be hasty. 37 They say: "When will this promise come to pass, if ye are telling the truth?" 38 If only those who deny the truth knew the time when they would not be able to ward off the fire neither from their faces nor from their backs. They will not be helped! 39 That will suddenly come upon them and stupefy them. They shall not be able to ward it off, nor shall they be granted any respite. 40 Messengers indeed were mocked at before thee, but those that scoffed at them were encompassed by that they mocked at. 41
