Have not these who disbelieve considered that the heavens and the earth were closed up, then We rent them? And We have made of water everything living; will they not then believe? 30 We set firm mountains upon the earth lest it should sway under them, and We placed therein passages for paths so that they might find their way. 31 We made the sky above them as a well-guarded ceiling, but they have neglected the evidence (of Our existence) therein. 32 It is He who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, each gliding in its orbit. 33 AND [remind those who deny thee, O Prophet, that] never have We granted life everlasting to any mortal before thee: but do they, perchance, hope that although thou must die, they will live forever?" 34 Every living being must taste death; and We test you with harm and with good – a trial; and to Us only you have to return. 35 And when those who disbelieve behold thee they only take thee up for mockery: is this he who mentioneth your gods? while in the mention of the compassionate they are themselves blasphemers. 36 Man is a creature of haste. Soon I will show you My signs, but do not ask Me to hasten them. 37 And they say: "When will this promise (come to pass), if you are truthful." 38 If only the disbelievers realised the time when they will not be able to stop the fire from their faces and from their backs – and nor are they to be helped. 39 Nay, it (the Fire or the Day of Resurrection) will come upon them all of a sudden and will perplex them, and they will have no power to avert it, nor will they get respite. 40 Messengers indeed were mocked at before thee, but those that scoffed at them were encompassed by that they mocked at. 41
