Do not those who disbelieve see that the heavens and the earth were closed up, but We have opened them; and We have made of water everything living, will they not then believe? 30 And [are they not aware that] We have set up firm mountains on earth, lest it sway with them, and [that] We have appointed thereon broad paths, so that they might find their way, 31 and We made the sky a secure canopy; and yet they turn away from these Signs. 32 It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded course. 33 And before you, We did not appoint on earth a never-ending life for any human; will they, if you depart, become immortal? 34 Every soul shall taste death; We test you with both good and evil [circumstances] as a trial. To Us you shall return. 35 And when those who disbelieve see you, they do not take you but for one to be scoffed at: Is this he who speaks of your gods? And they are deniers at the mention of the Beneficent Allah. 36 Man is a creature of haste: soon (enough) will I show you My Signs; then ye will not ask Me to hasten them! 37 Yet they say: "When will the promised threat come to pass, if you speak the truth?" 38 If the unbelievers only knew when they will be unable to shield either their faces or their backs from the Fire; when they will not be helped! 39 In fact it will suddenly come upon them, therefore shocking them, and they will not be able to repel it nor will they be given respite. 40 And indeed the Noble Messengers before you were mocked at, but their mockery ruined the mockers themselves. 41
