The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 Who guard their sex 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
