The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 and who turn away from all that is frivolous, 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 these are the heirs 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create! 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed, We have created above you seven [celestial] orbits: and never are We unmindful of [any aspect of Our] creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
