The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 Those are the heirs 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans! 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
