The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours). 9 these are the heirs 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 After that, at length ye will die 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
