The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 pay their religious tax 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 These are the heirs 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
