Messengers! Eat of that which is good and do good deeds; I have knowledge of the things you do. 51 “And indeed this religion of yours is one religion only and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me.” 52 But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that what We extend to them of wealth and children 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Those who tremble in fear of their Lord, 57 and who believe in their Sustainer's messages, 58 And those who do not ascribe any partner to their Lord – 59 Who give whatsoever they give (in His way), and their hearts tremble with fear that they have to go back to their Lord, 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 And [withal.] We do not burden any human being with more than he is well able to bear: for with Us is a record that speaks the truth [about what men do and can do]; and none shall be wronged. 62 But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing, 63 Until when We overtake those who lead easy lives among them with punishment, lo! they cry for succor. 64 'Groan not today; surely you shall not be helped from Us. 65 My revelations were recited unto you, but ye used to turn back on your heels, 66 Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling. 67 Is it then that they do not ponder over what is said, or is it that there has come to them that which did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 Or say they: "There is madness in him?" Nay, but he brought them the truth [i.e. "(A) Tauhid: Worshipping Allah Alone in all aspects (B) The Quran (C) The religion of Islam,"] but most of them (the disbelievers) are averse to the truth. 70 And if the Truth had followed their desires, verily the heavens and the earth and whosoever is therein had been corrupted. Nay, We have brought them their Reminder, but from their Reminder they now turn away. 71 Or do you ask of them any tribute? In that case the tribute of your Lord is better, for He is the best of providers. 72 And indeed you call them to the Straight Path. 73 But those who do not believe in the Hereafter have indeed deviated from that path. 74 ۞ And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 Already have We grasped them with punishment, but they humble not themselves unto their Lord, nor do they pray, 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of extreme punishment, behold! they are aghast thereat. 77
