1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
O you apostles, eat things that are clean, and do things that are good. We are surely cognisant of what you do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 But people later cut up their religion into bits, each group rejoicing in what they have. 53 Leave them in their perplexity for a time. 54 What, do they think that We succour them with of wealth and children, 55 have no other purpose except to help them in acquiring material benefits? No indeed. But they do not understand. 56 Verily! Those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 And those who believe in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, 58 Who do not associate any one with their Lord, 59 And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord - 60 These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them. 61 And [withal.] We do not burden any human being with more than he is well able to bear: for with Us is a record that speaks the truth [about what men do and can do]; and none shall be wronged. 62 On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. 63 But when We will strike with torment those (unbelievers) who are rich, they will start to cry for help. 64 Implore not today; verily ye from Us are not to be succoured. 65 “My verses were recited to you, so you used to turn back on your heels.” 66 [and,] impelled by your arrogance, you would talk senselessly far into the night." 67 Have they not pondered the Word, or hath that come unto them which came not unto their fathers of old? 68 Or do they not recognize their Messenger, and so deny him? 69 Or say they: "There is madness in him?" Nay, but he brought them the truth [i.e. "(A) Tauhid: Worshipping Allah Alone in all aspects (B) The Quran (C) The religion of Islam,"] but most of them (the disbelievers) are averse to the truth. 70 If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition. 71 Or do you ask of them any tribute? In that case the tribute of your Lord is better, for He is the best of providers. 72 And lo! thou summonest them indeed unto a straight path. 73 And most surely those who do not believe in the hereafter are deviating from the way. 74 ۞ And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. 77
