Say: 'Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 do not, O my Sustainer, let me be one of those evildoing folk!" 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We know that which they describe. 96 Say: "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the evil promptings of the devils. 97 "And I seek refuge with Thee O my Lord! lest they should come near me." 98 (They shall persist in their deeds) until when death comes to anyone of them he will say: "My Lord, send me back to the world 99 that I should do righteousness in that I forsook' No! It is only a word which he will speak. Behind them there shall stand a barrier till the Day that they shall be resurrected. 100 Then, when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask of one another. 101 then those whose scales weigh heavy with good works will be successful. 102 whereas they whose weight is light in the balance - it is they who will have squandered their own selves, [destined] to abide in hell: 103 The Fire will scorch their faces, and therein they shall be grinning. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray! 106 Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! If we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong-doers. 107 He will say: "Remain condemned in it, and do not speak to Me. 108 There is a party of My servants who said, "Our Lord, we believe; therefore forgive us, and have mercy on us, for Thou art the best of the merciful." 109 But you ridiculed them. So much so that out of (spite) for them you forgot to remember Me and laughed at them. 110 [But,] behold, today I have rewarded them for their patience in adversity: verily, it is they, they who have achieved a triumph!" 111 [Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?" 112 They will answer: "We have spent there a day, or part of a day; but ask those who [are able to] count [time]" 113 God will say, "You have indeed remained there for a short time. Would that you knew it during your life time. 114 "Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King; no god is there but He, the Lord of the honorable dominion. 116 Whosoever calls upon another god, other than Allah, having no proof his reckoning will be with his Lord. The unbelievers shall never prosper. 117 And say, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful." 118
