Hast thou not seen how thy Lord hath spread the shade - And if He willed He could have made it still - then We have made the sun its pilot; 45 thereafter We seize it to Ourselves, drawing it gently. 46 And it is Allah Who has ordained the night as a garment for you, and the sleep as a repose of death, and the day as the time of return to life. 47 And it is He Who sent the winds giving glad tidings before His mercy; and We sent down purifying water from the sky. 48 That We may quicken thereby a dead land, and We give drink thereof to that which We have created of cattle and human beings many. 49 We have indeed turned it about them, so that they remember; yet most people refuse all except disbelief. 50 If We willed, We could raise up a warner in every village. 51 So do not follow the unbelievers, and strive against them a mighty striving with it. 52 ۞ And it is He Who caused the two joint seas to flow- one is palatable, very sweet, and the other is salty, very bitter; and kept a veil between them and a preventing barrier. 53 And it is He who has created from water a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation]. 54 But they worship rather than Allah that which does not benefit them or harm them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan]. 55 Yet [withal, O Prophet,] We have sent thee only as a herald of glad tidings and a warner. 56 Tell them, "I ask no recompense for my preaching to you, except the fact that whoever wants should choose the way of God." 57 Put your trust in the All Living who never dies, and exalt with His praise, He is sufficiently aware of His worshipers' sins. 58 who created the heavens and the earth, and what between them is, in six days, then sat Himself upon the Throne, the All-compassionate: ask any informed of Him! 59 And when it is said to them, “Prostrate to the Most Gracious” – they say, “And what is the Most Gracious? Shall we prostrate to whatever you command us?” And this command only increases the hatred in them. (Command of Prostration # 7) ۩ 60
