Say: "Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the one Allah, Supreme and Irresistible,- 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them, the Most Mighty, the Most Forgiving.” 66 Say: 'It is a mighty tiding 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 I had no knowledge of the High Assembly's dispute. 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 When your Lord told the angels, "I will create a mortal out of clay, 71 and when I give it proper shape and blow My spirit into it, bow down in prostration to him," 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 but not Satan, who was too proud. He became one of those who deny the truth. 74 God said, "Satan, what prevented you from prostrating yourself to what I created with My own Hands? Were you overcome by arrogance, or are you of those who think [only] of themselves as exalted?" 75 He said: I am better than he; Thou hast created me of fire, and him Thou didst create of dust. 76 Said He: "Go forth, then, from this [angelic state] - for, behold, thou art henceforth accursed, 77 and My curse shall remain upon you till the Day of Resurrection.” 78 He said: My Lord! then respite me to the day that they are raised. 79 Said Allah, “You are therefore among those given respite.” 80 until the day of the known time.' 81 [Iblees] said, "By your might, I will surely mislead them all 82 Other than the chosen ones among Your creatures." 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 That I shall fill hell with thee and with such of them as follow thee, together. 85 Say, "I do not ask you for any recompense for this, nor am I a man of false pretentions: 86 This is nothing but an Admonition for all people the world over. 87 “And you will come to know of its tidings, after a while.” 88
