Blessed is He who has established constellations in the sky and made therein a lamp and a shining moon. 61 He it is Who caused the night and the day to succeed each other so that everyone who desires may learn a lesson or become grateful. 62 The (faithful) slaves of the Beneficent are they who walk upon the earth modestly, and when the foolish ones address them answer: Peace; 63 and those who spend the night prostrating themselves, and standing before their Lord, 64 who pray, "Lord, protect us from the torment of hell; it is a great loss. 65 verily, how evil an abode and a station!"; 66 They are those who are neither extravagant nor niggardly, but keep a balance between the two; 67 those who never invoke any other deity besides God, nor take a life which God has made sacred, except with the right to do so, nor commit adultery. Anyone who does that shall face punishment: 68 [but] shall have his suffering doubled on Resurrection Day: for on that [Day] he shall abide in ignominy. 69 Except one who repents and accepts faith and does good deeds – so Allah will turn their evil deeds into virtues; and Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. 70 He who repents and does good deeds has truly turned to God. 71 Those who witness no falsehood, and, if they pass by futility, they pass by it with honourable (avoidance); 72 who do not turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to the signs of their Lord when they are reminded of them; 73 who say, "Lord, grant us joy in our wives and children and make us a model for the righteous." 74 They will be awarded the high place forasmuch as they were steadfast, and they will meet therein with welcome and the ward of peace, 75 Abiding therein; excellent it is as an abode, and as a place to dwell. 76 Say: 'My Lord cares little for you if it was not for your supplication, indeed you have belied (the Messenger and the Koran) so it (the punishment) will be fastened' 77
