The Poets (Alshu'araa')
227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta'. Sin. Mim. 1 Those are the verses of the clear Book. 2 Possibly you may risk your life (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) by grieving, because they did not believe. 3 Had We so willed, We could have sent down unto them a message from the skies, so that their necks would [be forced to] bow down before it in humility. 4 And there cometh not unto them any fresh admonition from the Compassionate but they are wont to be therefrom backsliders. 5 So, they belied, but surely the tidings of that they mocked will come to them. 6 Do they not look at the earth, how We caused a variety of fine vegetation to grow from it (in abundance)? 7 In this there is, certainly, evidence (of the Truth). But most of them have no faith. 8 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 9
