The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta Sin Mim. 1 These are the verses of the perspicuous Book. 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 If We will, We can send down on them from the sky a portent so that their necks would remain bowed before it. 4 And no revelation comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it. 5 They will soon come to know the truth of that which they have been scoffing at. 6 Have they, then, never considered the earth - how much of every noble kind [of life] We have caused to grow thereon? 7 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 8 And verily, thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 9
