The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 It is the piercing star - 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
