The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are the verses of the perspicuous Book. 2 You may perhaps wear out your heart because they do not come to belief. 3 If We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 They will soon come to know the truth of that which they have been scoffing at. 6 Observe they not the earth, how much We make to grow therein of every fruitful kind? 7 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 8 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
