The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 Perhaps you will kill yourself with grief because they do not believe. 3 If We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled. 4 A fresh remembrance has never come to them from the Merciful, except they turn away from it. 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 Observe they not the earth, how much We make to grow therein of every fruitful kind? 7 In this there is, certainly, evidence (of the Truth). But most of them have no faith. 8 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 9
