The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin, Mim. 1 Those are the verses of the clear Book. 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 If We list, We can send down unto them a sign from the heaven so that their necks would become to it submissive. 4 And never comes there unto them a Reminder as a recent revelation from the Most Beneficent (Allah), but they turn away therefrom. 5 So they have indeed rejected (the truth), therefore the news of that which they mock shall soon come to them. 6 Do they not look at the earth,- how many noble things of all kinds We have produced therein? 7 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 8 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
