And (remember) when your Lord called Musa (Moses) (saying): "Go to the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing), 10 the people of Pharaoh; will they not be godfearing?' 11 : He said: "O Lord, I fear that they will deny me. 12 And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron. 13 And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me." 14 He said: By no means, so go you both with Our signs; surely We are with you, hearing; 15 “Therefore approach Firaun then proclaim, ‘We both are Noble Messengers of the Lord Of The Creation.’ 16 Then send with us the children of Israel. 17 (Pharaoh) said: "Did we not cherish thee as a child among us, and didst thou not stay in our midst many years of thy life? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst; and thou art of the ingrates. 19 He said: I did it then while I was of those unable to see the right course; 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers. 21 But the favour you oblige me with is that you have enslaved the children of Israel." 22 Firon said: And what is the Lord of the worlds? 23 Said Moosa, “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; if you believe.” 24 Pharaoh said to those around him, "Did you hear?" 25 Moses went on, "He is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 Said he: Most surely your Apostle who is sent to you is mad. 27 [Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason." 28 (Pharaoh) said: If thou choosest a god other than me, I assuredly shall place thee among the prisoners. 29 'What, even if I brought you something clear' said he (Moses). 30 [Pharaoh] answered: "Produce it, then, if thou art a man of truth!" 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it was white to the beholders. 33
