And when your Lord called out to Musa, saying: Go to the unjust people, 10 and ask them, "Why do you not fear God?" 11 He replied, "Lord, I am afraid that they will call me a liar. 12 And my breast straiteneth, and my tongue moveth not quickly: so send for Harun. 13 As for me, they hold the charge of a crime against me. I fear they will put me to death." 14 He said, “Not like this (any more); both of you go with Our signs, We are with you, All Hearing.” 15 "So go forth, both of you, to Pharaoh, and say: 'We have been sent by the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds; 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 (Pharaoh) said (unto Moses): Did we not rear thee among us as a child? And thou didst dwell many years of thy life among us, 18 You spent many years of your life among us and then you committed that deed of yours. You are very ungrateful indeed." 19 He said: I did it then while I was of those unable to see the right course; 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord bestowed on me wisdom and made me one of the sent ones. 21 "And this is the past favour with which you reproach me, that you have enslaved the Children of Israel." 22 Said Firaun, “And what is the Lord Of The Creation? 23 He said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between, if ye seek to be convinced. 24 Said he to those about him, 'Do you not hear?' 25 Moses said: "(He is) Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers of yore." 26 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Verily, your Messenger who has been sent to you is a madman!" 27 [Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason." 28 Said Firaun, “If you ascribe any one else as a God other than me, I will surely imprison you.” 29 Musa (Moses) said: "Even if I bring you something manifest (and convincing)?" 30 The Pharaoh replied, "Bring it, if you are telling the truth." 31 So he cast his staff, and behold, it was a serpent manifest. 32 and he drew forth his hand - and lo! it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
